Books, poems, photos, manuscripts, etc. written by Ms. Gray about R. Nathaniel Dett, primarily. Books include: _Listen to the Lambs_ and supplementary material to this book, _Nate, My Son_, A Master of Music Thesis (1941) about Lowell Mason's contribution to American Church Music, photographs, _The Path Not Taken_ (poems, 1985), _The Creative Arts in Ridgeway and Crystal Beach, Ontario, Canada_ (1988), 1st draft of _Listen to the Lambs_, _Multiple Heritage: New York State, Massachusetts, Ontario, Canada; A book of Memories_, Music Theory for Adults_ (1993), _The Hymn: An Analytical Study_(1991), photocopies of Dett's musical compositions, articles about Dett, etc. One folder of Ms. Gray's entitled "Articles to keep!" includes: handwritten notes, photos, correspondence, programs, catalog supplement from Bennett College (1960-1961), brochures from Hampton Institute, a program from Music Supervisors' National Conference in 1920. Also, _The Collected Piano Works of R. Nathaniel Dett_ with Gray's notes in the book.
