Scope and Contents note
The Ohnsorg Collection is a personal (and artificial) collection of Niagara Falls memorabilia. It contains:
-32 souvenir books
-5 guidebooks
-22 maps (one is framed)
-2 booklets, 10 stereoview cards
-27 framed etchings or engravings
-36 unframed etchings/engravings (63 total etchings/engravings)
-13 small prints and 1 box of prints (from 1866)
-1 advertisement
-5 journals.
The earliest piece is a framed engraving by Chatelain in French from 1719, the most recent is a reproduced map from about 2000.

There are 10 early guidebooks in the Ohnsorg Collection ranging from 1838-1875.
2. 2014.39.79 is Burke's Descriptive Guide or the Visitor's Companion to Niagara Falls (1850). Badly damaged.
3. 2014.39.80 is Guide to The Falls of Niagara (1853), Buffalo, James Faxon. Fold-out map in front.
4. 2014.39.81 is Burke's Illustrated Guide to Niagara Falls for 1855. Buffalo: Andrew Burke, publisher.
5. 2014.39.82 is Falls of Niagara & The Vicinity (1866) guidebook in a heavy paper with 11 prints of scenery.
6. 2014.39.83 is The Falls of Niagara. Thomas Nelson & Sons, New York, publishers, ca. 1875.
7. 2014.39.84 is Niagara Falls & Blondin. A Guide & Souvenir. (1866).
