Box contains a collection of currency from: Germany, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, South Carolina, Confederate States of America, Georgia, etc. A letter certifies that a blank check is one from the check book among the articles, etc. surrendered at Appomattox Court House, VA, April 9, 1865 (Confederate check), Confederate money with certification letter (from Office Chief Quartermaster, Army of the James (2) and a segment from a Confederate Flag with letter to certify its authenticity (1865).

Also includes a photographic Porter family portrait.
