Box S-1 (Welch)

Contains correspondence of T.V. Welch that had been arranged in an accordian file according to letter of name or company (A-Z). Some later items belonged to T.V. Welch's nephew, John J. Welch, who was active in the Democratic Party and "Company E". Other topics include: 42nd Company, water rights, Woodrow Wilson, a letter from Jacob Riis, The State Reservation at Niagara, letter from the Buffalo Historical Society and others. These boxes were in an accordian file "A-Z" and are correspondence, reciepts, of T.V. Welch and nephew John J. Welch.

-"A-B" (how file was named): ca. 1903-1972, most 1903-1912, personal and business corr, reciepts, etc. 1903 letter re: water supply. 1 from 1972 (Martin Welch). -"C-D" Petitions for Woodrow Wilson & Company "E" expenses (presumably all John J. Welch's), ca. 1902-1914, 1 reciept/contract "Builder's Hardware". -"E-F" ca. 1901-1914, 1 re: State Reservation Water Rights, reciepts, incoming corr., etc. -"G-H" - mostly incoming corr. including letter from Buffalo Historical Society re: Reservation. ca. 1892-1916. -"K-L"- photograph of Matt Welch, listed on folder as "Martin Welch" -"M-N", incoming corr., includes: memos, letters, wedding announcements, family memorabilia, etc. -"O-P", bills, memos, letters, belonging to both T.V. and John J. Welch: ca. 1902-1906 -"Q-R" incoming corr., letters, invitations, 42nd separate co., memos, bills, letter from photographer Jacob Riis, letter on State Reservation Stationary, 1902-1912. -"S-T" Corr. (personal and business), 1900-1906 -"U-V-W", mostly business and personal corr., 1 political calendar (1912) and 1 advert. from the International Hotel, 1900-1912 -"X-Y-Z", invitation, 1903 park (New England), superintendents, corr., reciepts, etc. 1900-1912.
