Window Transparencies 8-2000, circa 1890
Scope and Contents
Box contains folders of glass "window transparencies" showing a variety of framed images on frosted glass. Some items are framed and some ware not. Loose in the box is a label with text: "transparencies of Niagara Falls. These glass pictures were designed to hang in a sunny window to show the details in the view. Scrapbook from the Dunlap Collection." Folders include images of the Include Railroad and Maid of the Mist WT-2, Both Falls, from Prospect Pt. WT-11, Pillsbury family at Prospect Pt Wt-18, Couple in Carriage with driver - [no backing - not a transparencies] WT-20, WT-19 Man on Beach Canadian Side, People at train station WT-9 (damaged), Niagara Falls - Both - genial view WT-16.
